Harlesden High Crewneck - Zero Waste Shetland Wool - Marylebone
The Harlesden crewneck is our unisex house style Shetland sweater modelled on the classic ‘pullovers’ many first-generation Caribbean and Indian settlers wore upon arrival in Britain from warmer climes.
Our latest colourways celebrates the heritage of cricket, a sport played and mastered as a colonial inheritance, and serving as a source of pride, passion and identity by Commonwealth citizens.
A playful and non-elitist nod to the famous club colours, affectionately referred to as ‘egg and bacon’ and recognisable across NW8 and the sporting world, the Marylebone is a playful breton stripe with a preppy influence.
Our super soft Shetland wool is sourced and spun in Aberdeenshire from a mill dating back to the late 18th Century. All yarns selected are carefully tested and graded for our quality.
Working with a family-owned manufacturer, with textile knowledge and technical expertise spanning three generations, we are proud to have produced what we consider to be an innovative modern classic. Using a complex technique of whole garment knitting, the sweater is ‘seamless’ which results not only in a superior fit but a more sustainable product with zero waste.
Each sweater is individually brushed and finished using an artisanal teasel brushing technique, which can only be applied in small batches. The technique involves lifting and pulling the fibres to produce a wonderfully luxurious and relaxed handle.
For every item sold we will donate meals to feed four people in need.
Our knitwear has a comfortable tailored fit and is designed to be unisex. Each piece is knitted using a circular whole garment knitting technique, which means zero waste in production and a seamless finish. We recommend taking your regular size.
