Harlesden High Crewneck - Zero Waste Shetland Wool - Marshall
Studio Notes
The Harlesden crewneck is our unisex house style Shetland sweater modelled on the classic ‘pullovers’ many first-generation Caribbean and Indian settlers wore upon arrival in Britain from warmer climes.
Our latest colourways celebrate the heritage of cricket, a sport played and mastered as a colonial inheritance, and serving as a source of pride, passion and identity by Commonwealth citizens.
Named after the 'quickest of 'em all', Marshall is a classic burgundy colour that will add warmth and texture to smart and casual outfits alike.
Our super soft Shetland wool is sourced and spun in Aberdeenshire from a mill dating back to the late 18th Century. All yarns selected are carefully tested and graded for our quality.
Working with a family-owned manufacturer, with textile knowledge and technical expertise spanning three generations, we are proud to have produced what we consider to be an innovative modern classic. Using a complex technique of whole garment knitting, the sweater is ‘seamless’ which results not only in a superior fit but a more sustainable product with zero waste.
Each sweater is individually brushed and finished using an artisanal teasel brushing technique, which can only be applied in small batches. The technique involves lifting and pulling the fibres to produce a wonderfully luxurious and relaxed handle.
For every item sold we will donate meals to feed four people in need.
This is a part of our pledge in support of The Felix Project to alleviate food poverty by preventing food waste. Find out more through our work for good page here.
