Kerala Jacket - Soho Blue
Studio Notes
The Kerala Jacket is our elevated twist on the classic chore jacket silhouette. It serves as an everyday smart casual staple, in a comfortable shape with elegant detailing.
We've created four options with our atelier in Tuscany, by carefully sourcing and working with prestigious mills to serve all occasions and seasons. Each Kerala Jacket is finished and detailed using sustainably sourced, hand spun Khadi Cotton from Madhya Pradesh, India. There have been personally selected in complementary colours, making each Kerala Jacket truly individual.
Named after the coastal state on India's Malabar Coast, Kerala is nicknamed the Venice of India, for the watery coastal zones, which are interspersed with coconut palm groves. The lush landscape, unique culture, and equable climate make for a tropical region of great natural beauty.
Each jacket has been hand cut from the very best quality fabric. The Soho Blue Kerala Jacket is made using a beautiful mix of 60% Linen and 40% Cotton in a unique weave and two tone colourway, by the Tuscan fabric producers, Leomaster. This fabric has depth and interest, its tonal qualities work perfectly well with all colours.
A perfect option to wear to work, or to go out in. Layer over a t-shirt in warmer months, or simply wear with a sweatshirt or shirt in cooler months.
Pair with out Chela Linen Trousers or our Sanskrit T-Shirt. The Kerala Jacket is a perfect and versatile choice for your wardrobe and suitcase.

The meeting of industrial designers Charles and Ray Eames and Jawaharlal Nehru inspires the background to our collection. They form a modern interpretation of what three visionary pioneers may well have worn to their inspired meeting today, possibly under a coconut tree sipping masala chai.
Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of the newly independent nation-state of India, invited the Eames’s to help provide a catalyst of change, newness and creativity for the developing country. The Eames’ were enlisted to assist with this challenge, along with a host of other scientists, engineers, designers, and architects from Europe and North America. Their frequent travel throughout the 1950s and 60s sparked a global fascination with non-west design, in film, architecture and exhibition. The Eames Report was the first attempt by a developing nation to utilise design principles as a tool for national regeneration. The many bright children seen in the villages inspired the report; curious, open, active, beautiful young people with tremendous potential.
