Kane ‘Kano’ Robinson and London-based brand Coconut Residence collaborated to create a limited edition t-shirt that captures the essence of Duppy White, influenced by their shared love for dancehall music and appreciation for their heritage.
Founded by Veeraj and Alexandra, Coconut Residence reflects their diverse backgrounds and upbringing from Guyana, St Vincent, India, the Gambia, and Kenya. Kane, London-born with strong ties to Jamaica, found a common cultural thread with the brand's affection for their roots.
The t-shirt, illustrated by Bina Shah, celebrates Kane's bond with Jamaica, the small nation with an outsize global influence. Jamaica remains the constant thread running through his pioneering artistry, a legacy that is celebrated loudly. Duppy White symbolises the full circle of this journey.
Individually screen-printed in London, this unique collaboration embodies a fusion of cultural notes and spirit.
